Job Description

About the Company : Blazer Jobs is actively hiring for a full-time, school-based SLP to join a dynamic New Orleans area school district for the 2025–2026 academic year.

About the Role : This is a full-time (37.5 hours/week) position starting this upcoming school year. You’ll work on-site in a well-supported school district, delivering services to a diverse PreK–12 caseload. Your role will include direct therapy, evaluations, IEP development, progress monitoring, and active collaboration with teachers, families, and other professionals. Whether you're an experienced SLP or a Clinical Fellow (CFY) seeking mentorship and growth, you'll be stepping into a role where your work truly matters every day.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide direct therapy services to students with a range of communication needs, using evidence-based practices aligned with their IEP goals.
  • Conduct speech and language evaluations , contributing to comprehensive assessments and eligibility decisions.
  • Develop and implement IEPs , ensuring they reflect each student’s strengths, needs, and goals for communication growth.
  • Track and document student progress , adjusting interventions as needed and reporting data to IEP teams and families.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to create inclusive, supportive environments and promote carryover of skills across settings.
  • Consult on AAC, classroom strategies, and accommodations to help students access learning and participate fully in school life.

Qualifications :

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences
  • Active Louisiana SLP License (or eligibility)
  • ASHA CCCs preferred, but strong CFY candidates are encouraged to apply
  • School-based or pediatric experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills

Required Skills :

Pay range and compensation package :

  • Weekly pay range: Starting at $1,800 weekly depending on experience
