Job Description

Join a dynamic team at a Level II Trauma Center providing high-acuity care across adult critical care, ER, and stepdown units. This night shift role is ideal for experienced respiratory therapists ready to float across multiple units and lead with confidence.

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia License
• BLS & CRTT
• ACLS (may start with pending; must be obtained within 90 days)
• Minimum 4 years respiratory therapy experience
• Prior charge experience required

Skills & Responsibilities

• Airway management, ABGs, O₂ therapy, suctioning, pulmonary toileting
• BiPAP/CPAP setup and management, nebulizer therapy
• Arterial blood gas draw and analysis
• Bronchial hygiene and lung inflation therapies
• Must attend monthly department meetings or acknowledge minutes if off-duty
• Float to ER and Adult ICU Stepdown units as needed

Schedule & Logistics

• Shift: Night
• Weekends: Every other weekend + every other holiday
• On-Call: Up to 2 shifts/month (mandatory)
• Block Scheduling: At manager’s discretion
• Locals Accepted: Yes
• RTO: Must be approved by manager
