**Job ID: 112947** The Leonardo DRS Naval Power Systems business is a trusted provider of innovative naval gas and hybrid power systems, control technology and support solutions for the U.S. Navy and navies around the world. **Job Summary** Join our IT group in Menomonee Falls, WI! This is a **paid** summer college intern opportunity in our IT organization. IT interns work closely with and assist staff with various assignments. The summer intern program consists of 10-12 weeks of hands-on, real world experience in an career development environment. Participation in the intern program gives preference for future semesters as an intern/co-op within DRS Naval Power Systems. A typical student will participate in 2+ semesters as an intern/co-op at DRS throughout their junior and senior years. **_Guess what? Our summer interns get to take advantage of our 9/80 schedule which allows for every other Friday off AND you can participate in the 401(K) with our generous company match!_** **What You Will Do** + Support and maintain in-house computer systems, desktops, and peripherals + Troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training and assistance where required + Gain understanding of IT methods, programs and practices via guidance from mentor(s), supervisor and interaction with other employees/co-workers + Perform other duties and assists in assigned projects + Establishes learning and development goals with mentor or supervisor approval **Education & Experience Requirements** + Current accredited college or university enrollment; making progress towards an associates or undergraduate degree in a relevant field + Grade point average of 3.0 or above + Understanding of current principles and practices of IT support and ability to work closely with users and other IT professionals to identify, analyze and resolve system problems + Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team-oriented environment + Ability to successfully interact with other IT professionals and end-users U.S. Citizenship required. _Taking care of our people is a top priority at Leonardo DRS.
