Cleaning for a Reason is a nonprofit organization providing free home cleaning to cancer patients throughout the United States and Canada. We are seeking a full-time Development Manager to lead the cultivation and stewardship of major donors and corporate sponsors. This role is ideal for a strategic, relationship-oriented professional who is motivated to grow a high-impact mission through philanthropic partnerships.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors contributing $5,000–$100,000+
• Secure multi-year sponsorships from corporations, associations, and industry partners ($500–$100,000), including:
  • Annual ISSA Show Campaign ($100K target)
  • Giving Tuesday and year-end campaigns (including matching gifts)
• Design and implement donor engagement strategies tailored by capacity, interest, and giving history
• Collaborate with ISSA Marketing and Program staff to highlight donor impact through compelling storytelling
• Partner with ISSA leadership and ISSA Charities Board on high-level donor engagement opportunities
• Coordinate donor recognition, stewardship touchpoints, and special events
• Identify foundation and cause-marketing opportunities and support grant proposal development

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of experience in nonprofit development or fundraising
• Demonstrated success managing major gifts and corporate sponsorships
• Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and strategic planning skills
• Familiarity with donor management systems (e.g., Salesforce, DonorPerfect, Bloomerang)
• Experience engaging donors across diverse sectors, e.g., healthcare and corporate philanthropy

Working Conditions

• Remote Work – Full-time, work-from-home position requiring a reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace

• Flexible Workload – While standard hours apply, some flexibility may be needed based on workload and deadlines
• Virtual Collaboration – Regular communication with team members and departments via email, phone, video conferencing
• Travel – This position requires minimal travel expectations

Salary range is $55,000-$65,000 but may vary based on experience.
