Construction Superintendent - Connecticut/ Massachusetts Region

A growing civil/environmental contracting firm based in Boston is seeking an experienced Superintendent to join its team for projects across Connecticut and New England. The company specializes in a variety of field operations including demolition, excavation, dredging, utility work, landfill capping, and closures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and supervise all field activities, including construction sequencing.
• Interpret project plans, specifications, and scope of work.
• Oversee daily construction operations and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to track job costs, invoice coding, and monthly reporting.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety protocols; conduct weekly inspections and toolbox talks.
• Support incident investigations alongside the Safety Manager.
• Participate in project meetings and status updates.
• Train and mentor field personnel.
• Assist with project close-out and punch list completion.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in civil/environmental construction.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Experience with scheduling, cost control, and managing multiple crews/subcontractors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows; basic surveying experience is a plus.
• Be highly motivated, possess a positive attitude, and be open to travel.
